Expectations in terms of applications on SIP terminals

We can speak today of two types of applications :

1. Functional pure telephony applications  :

Access configurations and value added services such as follow-me , the simultaneous ringing , the free-seating , call management group / interception (input / output in a call group pickup group ) .

They are well known in the IP PBX owners find that customers want their SIP terminal services.

SIP terminals offer very great potential in terms of features and evolution thanks in part to their XML API and event management.

Coupled with a SIP IP PBX , SIP terminals have nothing to envy to the terminals and allow owners to integrate a maximum of services and customize the desktop.

2. Converged applications, mobility

At the time of smarpthones and cloud , users expect their phones SIP terminal connection to web 2.0 services . These services allow them to synchronize their calendar, their contacts, mail, news ( RSS ) .

Access to services is a web 2.0 functionality "key" that offers new opportunities for SIP terminals and allow to regain its workspace on the job.

Now integrates SIP unified communications services (presence, IM) and as the end user is fond of instant services such as twitter and other IM client, integration of instant messaging and presence on the job is an application more expected.
